FCST: Feb 2-5 Svr Storms and a Blizzard, you don't say!

Thinking winter was over...well hold on for just a second, it is only February 1 you know.  A strong and very dynamic storm system will eject into the plains beginning late Thursday night.  The suite of weather models have been all over the place with this system and we have not blogged about it for that very reason.

Quite honestly this winter has been so weather boring we have found our interest to be rather lackluster.  As the days get longer and the moisture begins to return to the plains in earnest our weather enthusiasm will once again return.  We promise!!!!!!

We are going to wait for the latest model runs before we get real detailed and giddy about a forecast.  Nonetheless, a strong storm is on its way that is going to produce severe weather south and southeast of the low center and a blizzard with accumulating snows on the north and northwest sides.  The points in the middle will get a soaking rain, some of it may be rather cold.

More details later this evening. ~ CS
